Britain's Got Talent star Titan the Robot's secret connection with Ant & Dec revealed

Saturday Night Takeaway fans watching last week's episodes of Britain's Got Talent may have spotted a familiar face.

The ITV talent contest returned after two years off the air because of the pandemic, with plenty of incredible acts, including Titan The Robot, who entertained the judges with a comedy routine.

The silver giant sprayed water at Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, Alisha Dixon and David Walliams and also roasted Simon in a hilarious routine.

However, this was not Titan's first time on the small screen, and he has worked with BGT presenters Ant & Dec before.

Titan featured on an episode the pair's Saturday Night Takeaway, also on ITV, in March 2020, appearing alongside Stephen Mulhern, who dressed as a robot.

Reaching a staggering 8ft, Titan has entertained festival-goers at Glastonbury in 2004 and 2014.

He has also appeared on stage with celebs such as Rihanna and Will Smith, and also performed at the Chinese F1 Grand Prix in Shanghai, the Sochi Winter Olympics and Commonwealth Games, The Sun reports.

This comes at BGT was caught up in a fix row, after singer Loren Allred claimed Amanda Holden's Golden Buzzer.

Loren is the singer behind Never Enough, the massive hit from film The Greatest Showman, which stars Hugh Jackman, Zac Efron and Zendaya.

The Greatest Showman was a huge smash globally, and whilst Loren doesn't appear in the movie, she did do the vocals for the iconic performance of the hit track, with the part played by actress Rebecca Ferguson, who stars as opera singer Jenny Lind.

Fans of the ITV talent show took to Twitter to vent their frustrations as Amanda pressed her Golden Buzzer.

"Hold up... This woman is the actual singer that sung never enough from the greatest showman. That's cheating ... That's unfair .... #BGT," one wrote, as another added: "what a bloody fix !!! Gold button s****."

A second shared: "I thought #BGT, was about discovering new talent?! what a fix!"

Whilst a third penned: "How is that fair at all sorry??? Amanda’s just said it’s her moment to shine, Amanda she’s already sang a song for a huge musical film This seriously isn’t fair #BGT."

There were shocked faces from the judges as Loren revealed her true identity and explained she was more "comfortable singing behind the scenes."

"I feel kind of like the song was meant for me and I'm ready to put a face to the song, so I'm here to do that," she said as she burst into a beautiful rendition of the hit track from the movie musical.

BGT defended the singer in a statement, telling the Metro that Loren is "not a household name, and she deserves her spot on the BGT stage."

A spokesperson added: "It's fantastic that Loren is now able to step out and stand in her own right to be the face, and not just the voice, of one of the most well-known tracks of all time."
