Britain's Got Talent fans have been left frustrated for the second year in a row, with them kept firmly in the dark once again over which acts have made the semi finals.
With this year's grand finale now just a week away, there was one final opportunity for performers to advance through to the live rounds, as the audition shows wrapped up for 2023 on Saturday night.
The new series of BGT has been entertaining ITV viewers for months now, with the auditions having been filmed earlier in the year. The big news from the latest episode was that the Golden Buzzer was hit once again, even after Simon Cowell and Bruno Tonioli had already hit their' twice in a clear flouting of the usual rules.
The crowd chanted and booed until the judges put heroic and massively inspiring dancer Musa Motha straight through to the semis, with Simon surrendering by telling all of them to stand up and it the button at the same time. Musa's audition was the last one of Britain's Got Talent this year, ahead of the live shows kicking off on ITV on Monday night.
Including Musa, there have been EIGHT Golden Buzzer acts this year, who all go through, along with other acts who got the all important 'yeses' from the judges.
However, as we know from years gone by, not every act put through necessarily ends up in the semis, so viewers were looking forward to seeing the judges made the crucial decisions on who to put through. However, for the second year in succession that didn't happen, with fans told to wait until Monday to find out the identities of the successful ones.
Saturday's episode was significantly shorter than the rest too, ending at 9pm and it didn't take long for viewers to take to Twitter to air their frustrations.
One tweeted: "So, for the second year in a row, there's no episode where the Judges decide who to put through to the semi finals," wiith another reacting: "So like last year, we don't get to find out who got through until MONDAY?!? A huge disappointment. Why didn't ITV learn from the backlash last year and realize most want to find out before the semi finals, rather than it be kept a secret until the first one?
