Britain's Got Talent's Stavros Flatley star unrecognisable years after ITV talent show as he shares wedding photo

Britain's Got Talent star Lagi Demetriou who shot to fame as one half of Greek-Cypriot dance act Stavros Flatley looked unrecognisable as he married his long-term partner Annika Crawford in Cyprus. The 26-year-old, who appeared on the ITV series with his dad Demi, took to Instagram to announce the happy news as he shared some snaps from the ceremony.

It comes just months after the couple welcomed their first baby together. In one snap, the newlyweds posed at the alter as Lagi presented Annika with a bouquet of flowers. In another picture, the couple gazed into each others eyes as the stood in front of a romantic sunset.

Lagi, who was just 13 when he appeared on BGT 13 years ago, wore a grey three-piece suit and green tie, while Annika looked stunning in a white, fitted dress with long train and floor-length veil with her hair swept up into an elegant bun.

Lagi and Demi rose to fame in 2009 when they impressed the BGT judges with their moves, coming in third place behind Diversity and Susan Boyle. The duo were highly recognisable with their lookalike appearances, leather trousers and iconic blonde wigs, though Lagi looked completely different at his wedding.

Alongside the snaps, Lagi thanked those who had helped to make the day special. "Thank you to every single person that made this night so special. All our bridesmaids and groomsmen and everyone else who done everything they could for us ! We love you all Mr and Mrs Demetriou."

The newlyweds were inundated with messages of congratulations from friends, including BGT judge Amanda Holden who commented: "Stunning."

Annika and Lagi have been together since 2015 and got engaged on New Year's Eve in 2020. Back in April, Lagi revealed they had welcomed their first child - a daughter Xenia - by sharing a black and white snap as they held their newborn daughter's hand.

Lagi has left his career in show business behind as he focuses on his barbershop in Cyprus, which has a Stavros Flatley Museum in the toilet. Demi is continuing with the act, with his nephew, Sampson, taking Lagi's place.

Demi has claimed that together he and Lagi made £2m from their act and both have appeared on the TV show Sugar Free Farm, where they tried a sugar free diet. Demi became emotional on the show in front of Lagi when he was told his weight meant he had an increased risk of suffering from a heart attack.
