Ant and Dec stepped into make sure a young Britain's Got Talent contestant was alright after their audition was halted due to an accident.
Having last been on our screens in the autumn of 2020, the hit ITV talent show made its return this weekend, with an action packed first episode and its usual eclectic mix of acts. And among them were The Scooter Boys - a quartet of young daredevils who were aiming to impress Britain's Got Talent judges Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, David Walliams and Alesha Dixon with their scooter acrobatics.
As the lads were arriving on stage, the obstacle they were going to be taking on was being put swiftly into place behind. And after Tyler, 10, Red, 8, TJ, 8, and Austin, just six-years-old, had all introduced themselves, Simon remarked: "It looks very dangerous by the way," before they told him that their dream was to build their own skate park and to get scootering recognised as an Olympic sport.

Their performance got going with to the sounds of Tinie Tempah's Pass Out, but then disaster struck when, just moments into the routine Austin lost his balance and went crashing to the ground. As the music was stopped, Amanda shouted: "Oh, oh, oh," as Alesha looked on concerned, saying: "It looks like he's really hurt himself."
There was relief all round when Austin came back out of the wings on his scooter and got himself back on the platform as Ant and Dec walked onto the stage, with Ant shouting: "He's back" before asking: "Austin, are you OK?" Dec then told the youngster: "Take your time, take your time."
Thankfully for Austin and his friends, everything went to plan second time round as they completed an array of heart-stopping stunts and earned themselves a mighty round of applause and a place in the next round, with Amanda telling them: "My heart was in my mouth through all of it," and David joking: "I love seeing children risk their lives for entertainment."
