Simon Cowell has urged ITV so sign Ant and Dec up 'forever,' as they prepared to host the Britain's Got Talent semi finals.
No-one was more excited that the much loved show was returning this year than the Geordie hosts, with it being scrapped entirely last year due to coronavirus restrictions. The new series of BGT has given viewers everything from drama to tears, fun to frightening acts and of course Golden Buzzers.
On Saturday night, viewers got their final look at this year's auditionees as the early stages of this year's competition came to a close., And, although the identities of the majority of the 40 acts are still shrouded in secrecy, the first live semi will air on ITV on Monday evening, with Ant and Dec on course at the helm.
As well as being a constant on Britain's Got Talent, the Geordie duo have fronted countless shows for the broadcaster, going back a quarter of a century when they lit up Saturday mornings alongside Cat Deeley on SMTV Live, before being given the primetime spotlight as presenters of Pop Idol.

Simon was Pop Idol's resident Mr Nasty but, being very kind about Ant and Dec, he told The Mirror they need to keep hold of them, saying: "I'd sign them up for ever. Ant and Dec are the best. There’s no question. There’s nobody like them.
“I’ve known them now for over 20 years. They really are fun, but their brilliance is understanding the audience of the show. They really relate to the audience and they haven’t changed at all. They’re very nice people.
“And, importantly, they love the acts. If I was running ITV, I wouldn’t think twice about it.”
Last week Ant and Dec were at the helm of a big first for both them and the channel as they fronted the first ever live TV broadcast of the Prince's Trust Awards. And, as well as that and BGT, they have tasted BAFTA winning success with the return of Saturday Night Takeaway and launched new show Limitless Win.
