Britain's Got Talent's Ant and Dec react to Golden Buzzer acts backstage after controversy

Ant and Dec have shared their backstage reactions to acts being given the Golden Buzzer on Britain's Got Talent after the show found itself at the centre of controversy over two conse4ufuive nights.

After a TV hiatus of nearly two years, BGT returned to our screens for a double bill over Easter weekend, with the Geordie presenters back at the helm to join judges Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, David Walliams and Alesha Dixon. After millions of viewers tuned into the first episode of the new series on ITV last Saturday, the show found itself under fire as the final act of the show, Loren Allred, got Amanda's Golden Buzzer after performing an amazing rendition of Never Enough from The Greatest Showman. The big issue for people watching at home was that Loren is the singer whose vocals are actually heard in the hit film, despite her never actually being seen on screen, She has also already released a number of songs and shared a stage with music icons like Michael Buble and Andrea Bocelli.

There was further uproar after Sunday night's Britain's Got Talent, this time over Simon's Golden Buzzer act, comedian Axel Blake, after viewers found out that he'd already had his own TV show on Amazon Prime. In an interview on Good Morning Britain, Axel also revealed he'd played O2 Indigo, the smaller venue inside London's famous O2 Arena.

The row over the two Golden Buzzers of BGT 2022 so far is still rumbling on as episode three gets set to air this Saturday night and, while not addressing any of the outrage, Ant and Dec have now shared their reactions to the acts being given an automatic place in the semi finals. In the video the lads shared on their Twitter timeline, Ant remarks: "Two Golden Buzzers," with Dec adding: "A lot of talent guys; Britain's Got Talent...it's affirmative."

Ant replies: "It's a fact!" before Dec asks his best mate: "Shall we do it again tomorrow?" A number of their followers were left saying the same thing after watching the video. One responded: "Yep, for two already established acts." Echoing the same sentiments, another replied: "Bit of a shame that 2 of the golden buzzers went to two professional acts," and a third reacted: "Feel robbed that they were professional - would @robbiewilliams be allowed to go on and sing Angels?"
