Britain’s Got Talent: Lorraine Kelly impression has fans all making the same complaint

Britain’s Got Talent contestant Suzi Wilde left the panel on the popular show wowed on Saturday evening after doing a impersonation of Scottish daytime TV favourite Lorraine Kelly.

During the act, Suzi - who once was finalist in Edinburgh Fringe's So You Think You're Funny competition - addressed the stage in Lorraine’s accent and exclaimed: “Well hello, welcome back!"

The impression triggered ITV judge David Walliams to burst out into laughter while he clapped at the performer.

“Right, coming up, Mark Heyes has got some fashion tips for Piers Morgan.

“It’s a blue suit with two key accessories,” the talent star quipped.

Gaffer tape for the mouth and a paper bag for the head,” she chuckled while mimicking the actions of applying the tape.

In her strong Scottish accent, the impersonator mocked: “That’s great, isn't it? That’s great.”

However, despite the panel loving the comedienne's take on Lorraine, it seems that some Scottish viewers weren't quite as impressed.

Taking to social media to let their opinions on the act be known, one viwer tweeted: "As a Scotsman, her ‘impression’ of Lorraine Kelly was horrific."

"I am still trying to get over how bad the Lorraine Kelly impression was," wrote another.

"That was the worst Lorraine Kelly accent ever. Maybe you need to be Scottish to realise that," agreed one fan of the show.

Even Lorraine herself has weighed in on the act, with the presenter was left stunned after Suzi was shown in a BGT preview clip on Friday's episode of Lorraine.

Reacting to the sneak-peek clip, Lorraine looked mortified as she exclaimed: "Do I really sound like that?!"

However, co-presenter Ria reassured her, saying: “You sound better than that.”

Lorraine giggled: “Well, if I'm ever off she can come in and take over and nobody will be able to tell the difference.”
