Britain's Got Talent fans ask same question as Simon Cowell sports 'new look' for semi-finals

Many Britain's Got Talent viewers were left commenting on the same thing as Simon Cowell debuted a 'new look' during tonight's (June 1) live semi-final. Just minutes into the start of the fourth show of the week, fans headed onto social media to question the music mogul's choice of accessories.

The 63-year-old took to the judging panel, alongside Alesha Dixon, Amanda Holden and Bruno Tonioli, in a pair of red tinted glasses. Not only did the specs catch the attention of people watching the ITV show from home, but also hosts Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly.

"Are you feeling confident?" Ant asked Simon in regards to the Golden Buzzer acts, to which he replied: "Why do you think I have got these on?" while taking off his glasses. He then explained: "These are my Golden Buzzer glasses."

Ant jokingly hit back: "You look like Tony Stark in those glasses." Dec chimed in: "I thought tonight's show was in 3D," as Ant swiftly added: "You look cool, Simon."

However, not all viewers were in agreement, as many took to Twitter to ask why the judge decided to don the pair of colourful lenses. Compo_7 quizzed: "Why is Simon Cowell wearing Edgar Davids glasses? #BGT."

MrMcofficial86 asked: "Why has Simon Cowell stolen Anastasia’s glasses? #Bgt." RyanTheSoapking stated: "Simon the glasses don't suit you #BGT." DanEvan70760332 questioned: "What does Simon Cowell look like."

Zamp69wall wrote: "Simon is reminding me of a George Michael tribute act in his glasses #BGT." HowlinMad3 quipped: "Simon channeling Bono and Anastasia with those glasses #bgt."

Several semi-final acts took to the stage during Thursday night's episode in hopes of securing a spot in the live finals. One of which was Noodle the CGI Cat, whose identity was finally revealed as Tom Ball.

The big reveal left some viewers annoyed as Tom had been on Britain's Got Talent before, coming in third place on the show last year. Many fans felt it would be a "fix" if the singer made it through to the final.
