Britain's Got Talent fans ask questions over 'absolute chaos' as comedian Viggo Venn hurtles off stage after Ant's nasty fall

Britain's Got Talent fans were still getting over host Ant McPartlin falling hard on stage in the first live semi-final of the series when they witnessed one of the acts hurtle down a set of steps on Tuesday night (May 30). On Monday night, Ant slipped over as he ran onto the stage after he and co-host Declan Donnelly introduced judges Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon, Bruno Tonioli and Simon Cowell and special guest stars Diversity.

Ant saw the funny side as he was asked if he was okay. "I don't know whether I am okay. I think I wet myself and farted at the same time," he said. And Dec joked: "I can confirm that he did fart."

After ressuring viewers that he was okay at the start of Tuesday's semi-final, he good-naturedly joined in a joke about his fall when male choir John's Boys performed the Harry Styles song Falling. "Thank you for inspiring us to sing this wonderful song," they told him.

Later, after comedian Viggo Venn had fans and the BGT judging panel in stitches, viewers were having 'flashbacks' as the high-vis wearing act sailed head first down steps at the side of the stage. @MatthewFoster20 joked: "Ant having flashbacks after seeing hiviz guy falling."

@Andiamluke commented: "Vigo sliding down the stairs and doing an Ant." @Katie_Murphy776 remarked: "Absolute chaos." And @TheRealDeclanK1 exclaimed: "Can we see it one more time! What is with everyone falling over!"

@jessica_annie97 tweeted: "Me Mam ‘did he fall down the stairs on purpose?’ However crazy his performance was, skiing down the stairs via his chin didn’t seem to fit his theme. Most definitely was a fall." And @MattOfHulleys joked: "2nd live show and 2nd fall I hope Simon's got insurance #WhereTheresABlameTheresAClaim."

Some fans hoped the painful-looking fall was planned, including @DrCat1981 who said: "We saw Vego Venn at the auditions and he was our favourite act that day, tonight he was even funnier…cried laughing throughout his whole performance #BGT also hope that fall down the stairs was part of his performance."

@julesscates82 asked: "#BGT was viggo meant to fall down the stairs was it planned." And @PastelUnicorn5 wondered: "Was he supposed to fall off the stage?" Later Viggo sailed through by public vote to Sunday's final, along with 11-year-old singer Olivia Lynes.
