A Brit could become the UK’s biggest ever EuroMillions winner if they scoop Friday’s record-breaking £191million jackpot.
The overnight wealth would send them straight to the top of the National Lottery’s rich list, knocking current champs Joe and Jess Thwaite from Gloucester off the number spot.
They bagged the big one - a £184 million jackpot - less than two months ago.
But it could all change in 48 hours if one punter gets all five numbers and two lucky stars in the highly anticipated draw.
And a British winner would put the UK at the top of the EuroMillions leader board - one jackpot ahead of France.
Both nations are currently tied with 117 winners each, followed by Spain with 113 and Portugal with 80.
Operator Camelot is bracing itself for a last minute ticket rush in stores and online as millions dream of escaping the economic gloom.
Overnight riches would make them wealthier than pop heart-throb Harry Styles who is worth £100 million, Phil Collins who has banked £145 million and Ozzy and Sharon Osborne who have an estimated £150 million.
Andy Carter, senior winners’ adviser at The National Lottery, said: “Friday will be huge - with an incredible estimated EuroMillions jackpot of £191 million up for grabs, we could be celebrating our biggest-ever winner.
“These dream-come-true jackpots not only transform the lives of the winners but also enable them to support the friends, family and communities around them.
“Players should get their tickets early to be in with a chance of winning in this amazing draw.”
Previous jackpot winners include Colin and Chris Weir of Largs, Ayrshire who scooped £161 million in 2011, Adrian and Gillian Bayford of Haverhill, Suffolk who banked £148,6 million in 2012 and Patrick and Frances Connolly of Moira who won a £114.9 million on New Year’s Day in 2019 when living in Northern Ireland but have since moved to Hartlepool.
