RAYE "didn't expect" to win Best R+B Act at the 2025 Brit Awards with Mastercard.
The 27-year-old singer was the big winner at last year's ceremony with a record-breaking six awards but as she collected her new accolade, admitted that she was in disbelief that she has enough fans who would want to vote for her.
Speaking in a pre-recorded video message, she said: "Thank you so much for this award. Look, I'm still recovering from everything that last year was. It was the craziest night of my life. I'm definitely in shock. I didn't expect to win one of these at all.
"I wanna say thank you to the fans. I can't believe that I have fans who vote for me to win awards. This is real life right now!
"I'm just feeling insanely blessed. Also the design of this is just outstanding in my opinion. What a gorgeous trophy!"
The 'Hard Out Here' hitmaker was "sad" that she couldn't be at the ceremony in person and admitted that she was feeling a "little bit homesick" as she prepares to sing at the Academy Awards on Sunday (02.03.25) in LA but "cannot complain" at anything.
She added: "I'm in a great mood as you can tell. I'm just really sad that I can't be there in person. I miss baked beans and my hometown, I'm a little bit homesick actually but life is...I can not complain about a single thing.
"Thank you so much for this, and hi to the BRIT kids down the front. Do not give up on your dreams.
"I hope you all have a beautiful night."
