Brit Award winner Ed Sheeran reveals he is definitely still the boy Next door

He’s worth an estimated £147million, but Ed Sheeran reveals he still shops at Next.

The singer says his younger self would cringe at his designer fashion choices, but he likes to keep it real with his basics.

Ed, who won his first BRIT a decade ago, said the old him would say: “Why the f*** are you wearing an Yves Saint Laurent jacket?

"I like it now, but I’m telling you about 10 years ago if I was like, ‘I have to wear an Element shirt on the BRITs’, I guarantee now he’d be like, ‘What are you doing?’”

When asked where his BRITs shirt was from, he replies: “This is from Next – if it’s a plain black T-shirt and a plain white T-shirt, don’t go designer!”

Ed, 30, missed the after parties to get the Eurostar to Paris at 5am the next day to shoot a video with J Balvin.

He says: “With BRITs parties, you really have to go in if you go to them. Like, if you go to a BRITs party it ends at 5am, so I’m going to go to bed because I’m up at 5am.”

One of my favourite BRITs was with Ed in 2015 when he got very spangled and I photobombed his snaps.

But I’m sure he felt smug on Wednesday waking up without a hangover.

And he says he will be keeping his gongs on the mantelpiece at his pub.

“This is [Brit] number seven,” he says gleefully.

“In 2015, they had a prop BRIT and I stole that so I technically had three from that year and I was hoping this could be a prop BRIT that I could steal but they’ve put my name on it – probably because I stole the prop BRIT.

“It’s nice to put this on the mantelpiece.”

Better than the bog.
