The BBC is predicting 'heavy' rain for the South West over the next two days, as Bristol's weather looks set to take a turn for the worse today (Monday, April 11). Temperatures in the city hit 13C in the city on Sunday with plenty of sunny spells, but rain is predicted to begin falling on Bristol this afternoon.
According to the BBC, a sunny morning today will be followed by showers which will start at 1pm and will last until 4pm. However, the Met Office forecast is more optimistic with a dry day predicted and sunny spells, although that could change tomorrow (Tuesday).
The BBC's outlook for the whole South West today says that the region "will have a dry and sunny start" before the rain arrives. The forecast for today says: "In the afternoon, cloud and outbreaks of blustery rain will move in from the west, which may be heavy at times."

However, the Met Office offers a much more optimistic outlook for Bristol today, predicting just a 30 per cent chance of rain this afternoon. Their outlook for the South West today says: "Showers may affect some of us during the morning, particularly western parts of the region. Otherwise, a largely dry day with bright spells. Feeling warmer, with gusty winds gradually easing. Maximum temperature 16 °C."
According to the BBC, rain is set to continue on Tuesday, before a week of sunshine which could see temperatures soar to 17C by Wednesday. And the Met Office's prediction for how the weather will look between Tuesday and Thursday also provides hope for a pleasant week.
Their forecast says: "A changeable outlook, with a mixture of sunny spells and showers in places. Low cloud, mist and fog are possible, especially during the mornings, but feeling warm in the sunshine."
