A Bristol-based Tik Toker has gone viral with one of his videos after trying - and succeeding - to book an Uber all the way to Denmark. George Clarke - who posts under the username @georgeclarkeey - shared his success with the cab-hailing app earlier this week.
Speaking to his audience of more than one million followers he said the thought occurred to him late one night, how far it is possible to take an Uber? Plumping for the Scandinavian country at random, George proceeded to request a cab.
Surprisingly a driver, registered in South Gloucestershire, quickly accepted the fare which will be of annoyance to anyone who has tried to get an Uber from the city centre to Patchway late at night. It is not clear how the driver planned on getting to Denmark but the proposed route on the app, posted by George, went directly through the North Sea.
Of course an Uber to Denmark would be one way to avoid all of the Bristol Airport chaos happening this week
Speaking on his video, George said: "It literally took 20 seconds and somebody accepted it... Mixture of emotions, am I off to Denmark? I've not packed!" He swiftly cancelled the trip, which is probably for the best considering the cost and the apparent watery route the driver planned on taking.
The details of the driver's car have been changed to include a registration which would definitley not be approved by the DVLA. The driver's profile picture has also been changed, to one of Vin Diesel.

Apart from apparently being able to drive over the North Sea to Denmark another part of the app which has caused confusion is Uber Pet, a new service launched by the company that allows people to book cans in which they are allowed to transport their animals. George has garnered quite the following on Tik tok with videos including putting together Ikea furniture in his new bedroom, and a Too Good to Go Haul from Parsons Bakery.
