Fuel prices are still extortionately high. In some places they are up to over £2 per litre.
This is despite the government cutting fuel duty by 5p per litre in March. Louise Haigh, Labour's shadow transport secretary, said: "The Conservative government are too busy tearing themselves apart to tackle the brutal price hikes facing working people.
"Motorists are being taken for a ride, and this hapless government are too distracted to do anything about it. The Conservative government needs to tackle the brutal petrol hikes, and support Labour’s call to put money back in the pockets of working people with an emergency budget."

The government, however, has repeatedly ruled out an emergency budget. Until that changes then, we'll have to continue scrabbling around for the least expensive fuel we can find; check out the cheapest we know of, via Petrol Prices.
