Bristol's Aardman Animations offering rare job opportunity - with no experience required

Aardman Animations are offering a rare opportunity to work as one of their animators - and no experience is required to apply for the roles.

The creators of iconic productions including the Wallace and Gromit series, Chicken Run and Shaun the Sheep will employ three or four new staff as part of an eight-week stop frame animation traineeship.

Successful applicants will be trained on a daily basis by an experienced stop frame animator, and they will be overseen by Loyd Price, head of animation at Aardman.

While some experience of animating with plasticine would be an advantage in the role, it isn't essential as those skills will be taught on the course.

If you wish to apply, you need to submit your CV and a showreel of your animation, including photos of any plasticine sculptures you have made.

The job offers payment of £9.50 per hour, and would require 40 hours of work per week.

You would start on November 1, at the Aztec West business park in north Bristol.

The deadline for applications is October 17, 2021.
