Bristol restaurant with one of the most stunning views in the UK

Bristol has long been hailed as the culinary capital of England, showcasing creative dishes that give London chefs a run for their money. But our city also boasts incredible views customers can enjoy while tucking into the gastronomy delights.

And one restaurant has excited diners more than others. Sharing an image of Clifton's Hotel du Vin, UK Travel wrote on TikTok: "You need to visit this restaurant".

When our former food reviewer visited the spot, he explained the swanky hotel has a 'secret' courtyard and 'regal' dining room.

The hotel’s restaurant underwent a huge revamp several years ago swapping their Dijon mustard yellow of old for a pale mint look. Designers kept the original pillars, dark wood furniture and walls of paintings, retaining the room's regal look.

But it's the stunning views of Isambard Kingdom Brunel's famous bridge that really makes this spot stand out. Diners are treated to some of the best views of the iconic structure, which they can marvel at while eating their meals.x

The hotel boasts one of the largest terraces in the South West with views over the Avon Gorge itself.

Reviewers on TripAdvisor were also impressed. One person wrote: "Thank you to all the team at Bistro du Vin, we had a very nice evening. Food and wine, all delicious, and the service was attentive and friendly. It was a special occasion and we had been given a great table, amongst other thoughtful touches."
