People in Bristol have had their say after three pub venues in Easton announced they will be holding a 'F*** the Jubilee' festival, while the majority of the country celebrates 70 years of Queen Elizabeth II's reign.
The three-day festival will kick off at the Lion on Thursday, June 2 before moving to the Chelsea Inn on Saturday, and The Plough on Sunday. There will be punk bands and DJs playing at each venue including Social Experiment, Drunken Marksman and Mutilated State.
The event is being organised by Bristol’s DIY punk collective the Bristol Skum Collective. Each of the three events are being billed as a ‘F*** The Jubilee’ anti-monarchy festival, with the Saturday at the Plough billed as an ‘anti-jubilee all-dayer’.

As expected, the anti-Jubilee event has proved controversial, with people voicing their opinions for and against the punk festival on Bristol Live's Facebook page. Ange questioned why the organisers are taking the extra bank holiday if they are against the occasion, commenting: "If that's what they want so be it I respect their decision.
"But I would hope that they wouldn't be totally hypocritical and accept the extra bank holiday. Surely they won't want to be acknowledging her extraordinary reign by enjoying the time off."
Meanwhile Reece asked: "Won't the jubilee provide more customers for and income for them? Surely you want the money [crying laughter face]."
Ramsay pointed out: "By having an anti-jubilee party they're still marking the event." Robert added: "It's 2022 lads, not 1977, that angry young man boat has sailed."
Other people think the event is a good idea. Sapphire commented: "Absolutely love this!" Nicola commented: "Never known so many people get triggered over an outdated monarchy that should be abolished, its not wanted nor needed."
Laurie said: "Some people getting really angry in these comments about a party they're not going to for people they don't agree with in a city they don't live in. Maybe just leave em alone and just enjoy whatever pro royal thing you're doing?"
Lee added: "Looks like a cracking do, great line up."
