A pub in Bristol was forced to close for business due to the high water levels in the River Avon.
Pictures shared by Hanham-based Chequers Inn's Instagram page show the pub's car park and entrance walkway submerged under water yesterday (January 18).
It was the same upstream in Keynsham where water from the River Avon took over the The Lock Keeper pub's garden and car park.
Today, the Chequers Inn announced it was back open.
On Instagram, it said: "OPEN - back open from 11 today serving food 12-9 all day. Come down to check out the best views of the flooding from the comfort of our lovely warm pub."
It was a contrast from the day before, when the pub said: "Closed for today - huge effort from our guys this afternoon and with thanks to South Gloucestershire Council too but we will now be closing for rest of day due to flood water still rising.
