A partial closure order has been granted against an address in Speedwell to help protect local residents from antisocial behaviour. The order means only the tenant located in the Gorse Hill area, is permitted to enter the property for the next three months.
Avon and Somerset Police officers carried out a warrant at the address in January this year, following reports of issues relating to drugs and noise. Police worked with Bristol City Council for a period of time before the warrant was issued to try and alleviate the difficulties at the properties.
The tenant was offered an antisocial behaviour contract, but neighbours were still affected by the disturbances. On Wednesday, March 22, the court agreed to a three-month partial closure order at the property. For the tenant, any breach of the the order would be a criminal offence.

Acting Inspector Serena Serjeant said: “We take antisocial behaviour seriously and are thankful for the support of residents and partner agencies who have helped achieve this result.
“It is not right for anybody to feel scared by what is happening on their doorstep. We’d urge anyone who is experiencing antisocial behaviour in their neighbourhood to report it to the police.”
Antisocial behaviour can be reported on 101 or via our website, although if a crime is in progress then people should call 999.
