Fuel prices are sky-high at the moment, despite the government's recent fuel duty cut. In fact, in some places they've gone up since that cut.
Shell on York Road near Totterdown, though, might just be the most expensive in Bristol. At the last count, on March 28, it was charging 184.9p per litre of diesel.
That's a penny per litre more than the next most expensive in Bristol, according to Petrol Prices. The cheapest, meanwhile, is Morrisons in Fishponds, which costs 168.9p per litre - 16p per litre less than Shell on York Road.

York Road Shell's unleaded petrol is, at least, a little more reasonable, at 165.9p per litre. However, even that is still one of the dearer price points in Bristol: the cheapest is Morrisons in Hartcliffe, at 157.7p per litre.
Fuel prices should have gone down by 6p per litre over the past week, if retailers were passing the lower fuel duty (and the subsequently lower VAT) on to the consumer. The RAC has accused retailers of prioritising their own profits, rather than the wallets of consumers, when calculating prices.
Fuel retailers have hit back, saying they "are not immune to the cost increases".
