Bristol McDonald's may be last branch with Chicken Big Mac's still in stock

A McDonald's store on the outskirts of Bristol still has the limited edition Chicken Big Mac's in stock. Earlier this week the fast-food chain removing the product from its menu after excessive demand, but one store is not competely wiped out. Yet.

The fast food chain tweeted yesterday morning the Chicken Big Mac "will be back soon" after it has "sold out almost everywhere". However, at least one venue, in South Gloucestershire, still has a stock of them.

McDonald's in Longwell Green currently has the limited edition burger available. One manager at the store told Bristol Live they have enough stock to last three more days when we successfully order one on Saturday afternoon (Feb 12).

The new Chicken Big Mac is essentially the same as a regular Big Mac, but instead chicken patties instead of beef patties. It costs £4.09 for just the sandwich or £5.59 for a medium meal with chips and a drink. You can opt to go large for a total price of £5.99.

The limited-edition burger was only launched in the UK on February 2 as part of a six-week trial, but due to the excessive demand, it's been pulled from menus just over a week later. It is not known yet when the item will return to fast-food restaurants across the country.

The full tweet by the fast-food chain yesterday said: "Well, that escalated quickly. Your love for the limited edition Chicken Big Mac knew no bounds and it’s sold out almost everywhere. Thank you for lovin’ it even more than we thought you would, it’ll be back soon."

A spokesperson for McDonald's gave a statement to The Mirror and said: "We have been delighted by our customers’ reaction to the limited-edition Chicken Big Mac. The demand has been incredible and we simply cannot keep up.

“As such, we’ve made the decision to pause the promotion, let our restaurant teams and suppliers restock and get ready for its return in a few weeks.

“We’ll keep customers informed about its return through the usual channels. Thank you to everyone who has made this our most popular launch ever. “We can’t wait to bring it back for even more customers to enjoy.”
