Bristol Live readers' picks on the best fish and chips shops in the city

It was surprising to see no Bristol businesses made it onto the shortlist for the National Fish and Chip awards last week. The competition highlights some of the best shops across the country with awards like best takeaway, top mobile operator and best newcomer.

Several shops in Devon were named among the categories and The Oster Shell in Bath made it to the top ten list of the best takeaway in the entire country. A ceremony will be held in London at the end of February 2023 to announce the winners.

Despite being home to dozens of fish and chip shops on every corner of the city, Bristol didn't get a mention - but we asked our readers who has the best batter in the business. Here are the BristolLive readers' top picks for fish and chips.
