A lifelong fan of singer Cher had the ‘shock of his life’ when his partner got down on one knee and proposed. The happy couple was watching a musical about the 'Goddess of Pop' when Matt Still popped the question to Reece Crow.
The pair, who are both professional entertainers and live in Weston-super-Mare, booked to see the show at Bristol Hippodrome last month. Matt, 32, told Reece that they had won a prize to meet the cast after the show and have a tour backstage.
But what Reece didn’t know was that when he got on stage at the end of the show, Matt would get down on one knee and ask him to marry him, reports Somerset Live.

They are hoping to get married in 2026. And the couple are planning to send out a very special invite.
“It’s always been Reece’s dream to have Cher at our wedding,” said Matt. "I think he will try and get her there by any means possible and we will definitely be sending an invite.”
Matt said that Reece is an absolutely 'huge fan' of Cher, so when he saw her show was coming to Bristol he snapped up the tickets.
He said: “We have been dating for eight years and are always talking about getting married, so I thought it would be amazing to do it on stage after watching a show about Cher. He is always on about the fact that when we get married he wants her to be there.”
Matt executed his cunning plan with the help of staff at the Bristol Hippodrome who guided the couple on to the stage at the end of the show before the encore. “When we got on the stage Reece was so excited he started to take selfies with the cast,” Matt laughed.
“I saw my opportunity and grabbed the chance and got down on one knee. Reece said yes straight away.” Matt proposed with a Vera Wang white gold band encrusted with diamonds.
“I’ve been nagging Matt about getting married for ages,” said Reece, 29. "I thought to win the competition to meet the cast and go backstage was amazing, but to then get a proposal was just completely incredible.
“I didn’t think he would pull something like that off infront of a crowd of thousands of people. The whole audience was cheering and screaming when he got down on one knee.”
The pair met through a mutual friend eight years ago and started dating after working at a gig together. The couple now sing and perform together across the UK and Europe as the Bow Tie Boys and also run their own company Bow Tie Productions.
