A south Bristol high street will close for one day this weekend to allow for a new Sky TV thriller to be filmed.
East Street in Bedminster will be closed between 7.30am and 7.30pm on Sunday (February 21) for the filming of Extinction, a "gripping exploration of memory, fate, and the limits of love" starring Paapa Essiedu.
The street will be made to look like it is from the 1990's for the shoot, which will see temporary changes made to a number of shopfronts.
There will be a road closure in place between Cannon Street and Dalby Avenue for the 12-hour period, which will result in buses and other public transport being re-routed.
Bus passengers are urged to "consult with their local service to identify the next suitable stop".
East Street businesses have been visited by Urban Myth Films, the production company behind the series, this week and handed a letter outlining the plans.

"Urban Myth Films is currently in production for a TV series for Sky TV and have selected East Street in Bristol as a location to film scenes for a TV series called Extinction," it reads
"Filming has been scheduled to take place on Sunday, 21 February 2021 between 07:30 and 19:30.
"The street will be set dressed to look as if from the 1990's era - this will be achieved by making temporary alterations to some of the street's shopfronts, signage placement, support artists dressed in 1990's fashion as well as having 1990's vintage vehicles parked on East Street."
Technical support vehicles will be parked alongside Little Paradise Road and in Little Paradise Car Park during filming.
"We apologise in advance for any temporary inconvenience the above may cause," continues the letter.
"We are well aware that the parking lot is in close proximity to residential units and will endeavour to keep noise levels down and inconvenience to an absolute minimum."
All crew will be adhering to film-specific Covid-19 regulations that the Government has put in place for the film industry to enable it to continue filming during lockdown.
Extinction follows the story of George, played by I May Destroy You star Paapa Essiedu, as he begins to re-live time after witnessing the end of the world.
When George is recruited into an organisation of people who share his ability and harness it to stop global catastrophes, he goes rogue in a bid to save the woman he loves.
