Bristol City are among three Championship clubs interested in signing Manchester City winger Marlos Moreno, according to reports in his native Colombia.
Norwich City and Sunderland are also reportedly interested in a move for the 25-year-old, who spent last season on loan with KV Kortrijk in Belgium.
The eight-cap Colombia international joined Man City as a teenager in 2016 after catching the eye for Medellin-based Atlético Nacional. He has never played a game for the Citizens, instead racking up the miles on a series of loan spells.
He had stints with in Spain, Brazil, Mexico and Portugal, featuring for the likes of Deportivo La Coruña, Girona, Flamengo and Santos Laguna.
According to AS, Moreno is enticed by the idea of playing in the Championship. It is unclear whether any prospective move would be a loan or a permanent deal.
Moreno scored twice in 32 Jupiler Pro League games last season as Kortrijk finished 13th in the table.
However, Moreno seems an unlikely transfer target for the Robins with manager Nigel Pearson is focussing his priorities elsewhere. Pearson is understood to have placed centre-back and defensive midfield as his areas to focus on.
And systematically, a true winger is not an ideal fit in Pearson's preferred three-at-the-back setup. New signing Mark Sykes, who played as a winger for Oxford United last season, is being remoulded into a number 10, highlighting where Pearson wants his creative players situated.
Meanwhile on Friday, former Liverpool and Stoke City midfielder Joe Allen joined Swansea City on a free transfer. The Robins are understood to have been among 11 Championship clubs who were interested in signing the Wales international this summer.
He also had an offer from Spanish club RCD Mallorca, but Allen opted to return to his first professional club.
