Bristol City have announced their season ticket prices for 2023/24 with around a 3 per cent increase across many areas of Ashton Gate for adults, but the club have committed to a price freeze for all fans under the age of 19.
Announcing their prices two weeks earlier than last season, an adult ticket in the South Stand for 2023/24 costs £385 compared with £375 for the current campaign. Meanwhile, a seat in the Lansdown Stand Centre has risen by £20 from £655 to £675 (a full list of the prices and comparative increases is detailed below).
City sold more than 14,000 season tickets for the 2022/23 campaign and speaking last month new CEO Phil Alexander was hopeful of increasing that number, with perhaps the key driver being the package available to under-12s who can attend every Championship home game in the South Stand for £55 in the South Stand and Lansdown Stand family area - working out as £2.40 a game, and are given a new O’Neills home shirt as part of the package.
Likewise, the price for an under-19s attending BS3 remains in the £99-£199 price range, depending on which part of the ground they wish to sit in.
“Thank you for your support week-in, week-out. Our average crowds this season are up to 20,256, which is a 1,000-plus increase on last season, and we have more than 14,000 Season Ticket holders, again an increase on the previous year,” chairman Jon Lansdown said.
“That is a fantastic testament to your continued support, especially in what is a difficult time for many, when living costs are going up. We recognise that supporting your team is not a luxury, it’s a way of life that often lasts a lifetime.”
A key change is also that next season’s tickets will all be issued digitally as opposed to a card, with the club to provide information in due course, although there has been some early concern around older fans who don’t own or have access to a smartphone.
With Nigel Pearson having stabilised the club in mid-table, after two seasons of struggle towards the bottom quarter of the Championship, there is growing optimism that with the right recruitment this summer, the Robins can continue on an upwards trajectory and mount a play-off campaign next season.
Tickets go on sale for online only renewal from 10am on Monday, March 20, with members permitted to purchase seats on March 22 and then general sale on March 28.
