Whisper it quietly, but Nigel Pearson may even have himself a small selection headache as Birmingham City come to town.
The manager, who has been dealing with a threadbare squad over the last couple of months, will have decisions to make when he picks his starting XI - particularly in midfield.
Pearson provided a positive injury update on Thursday by revealing Tomas Kalas is fit to play after he limped off last weekend in the defeat at Nottingham Forest leaving the side to finish the game with 10-men.
Rob Atkinson has also recovered and is in contention to make his first appearance since a 16-minute cameo against Cardiff towards the end of January.
The manager also confirmed goalkeeper Max O'Leary has returned to training while Matty James will be at his disposal to create options in midfield.
Here's how we think the Robins will shape up for the visit of Lee Bowyer's side.
Goalkeeper/defence
As mentioned above, O'Leary is back in contention after recovering from an injury picked up in the defeat to Swansea three games ago.
It provided an opportunity for club captain Dan Bentley to win back the shirt he lost in December and it appears he has grasped that with both hands following a trio of impressive displays.
He was unlucky not to keep a clean sheet against Middlesbrough while pulling off a string of impressive saves against Coventry and keeping the scoreline respectable in the 2-0 loss at Nottingham Forest.
Pearson praised his performance following the Forest defeat and Bentley came out fighting in the pre-match press conference suggesting he will do everything in his power to maintain the No1 jersey from now until the end of the season.
In that respect, he will surely keep his place but it's the men in front of him that poses a question. With Kalas fit, he'll certainly start alongside Timm Klose although it will be interesting to see whether Pearson sticks with the four at the back or switches to a three.
He opted for a four in the last three matches and there were plenty of positives to take from the victory against Boro and against Coventry despite the defeat. Pearson was forced to change the system in the second half at Forest with the hosts dominating the flanks.
Pearson spoke about the threat Birmingham poses in wide positions but they don't possess the same quality as Forest and the manager will undoubtedly be tempted to stick with the four with one central midfielder dropping into the backline.
Cam Pring endured a nightmare in the first half against Forest which was more down to the shape rather than to his overall performance but he appears to be the likely option again on the left with Jay Dasilva on the right.
If the manager opts to go for a back three, Atkinson may come in with Alex Scott out on the right as wing-back and Dasilva on the opposite flank.
Midfield
Matty James' return will provide a welcome boost for Pearson and will certainly add a layer of defensive protection in front of the leaky defence.
He came off the bench last week on his comeback but Pearson said on Thursday how they don't need to be careful with the number of minutes like he has done with Williams because of the nature of his injury. Judging by the comments and Pearson's fondness of James' attributes, they'd be no surprise to see him in the starting line-up.
James' impressive passing range will mean he is likely to sit in the holding role of midfield, dropping back into defence to pick up the ball and dictate play.
That leaves two midfielders to play ahead of them with Williams and Scott the likely names to be on the team-sheet with Han-Noah Massengo potentially missing out.
Williams' industrial performances in midfield add that bit of experience needed and with James sitting behind him, he will be afforded more freedom to get up and down the pitch without needing to feel so caged in the middle.
Scott's form has been excellent and his selection picks itself although that means there could be no space for Massengo who could find himself starting on the bench for the first time since the 3-2 win over Millwall at the beginning of January.
There's no questioning Massengo's ability but he has looked off the boil in the last couple of games, having not had the same impact on matches that we have come to expect - perhaps fatigue has played a part considering the amount of minutes and games he has played particularly in the absence of Williams and James.
His error at home to Coventry led to the winner in the final stages while he lasted 64 minutes against Forest before he was subbed off so don't be surprised if Massengo starts on the bench before being introduced in the second half for a tiring James.
Attack
Pearson confirmed his side have been training hard during the week on their counter-attacking strengths and that will include the trustee three amigos who have become so synonymous to City's season.
The game against Forest was the first time in 14 matches that they drew a blank but in fairness to the forwards, they received a lack of service with the midfield struggling to get the ball under control.
If Antoine Semenyo and Andi Weimann are fit, they play. It's as simple as that. The duo have forged a prolific partnership - Weimann has scored four and assisted five in his last nine matches while Semenyo has five goals and five assists in his last 10 outings.
Weimann, who has 16 goals to his name this season, will need no extra motivation to get himself on the scoresheet but he'll undoubtedly be on a mission to sink Blues following his connections with arch-rivals Aston Villa.
Chris Martin has gone under the radar at times following the goalscoring exploits of his strike partners but he has been a vital cog in the system in his ability to hold up play and create space.
He's another player who has looked tired at times in the last couple of weeks but Pearson will want to keep him in the side to help defensively. With Lukas Jutkiewicz set to start in attack, Birmingham are likely to bombard the box and Martin's aerial ability, especially from corners, could prove hugely important.
That is likely to mean Nahki Wells starts on the bench again despite scoring twice for the Under-23s in the week although Pearson was hugely positive about his attitude in the build-up to the game.
Bristol City (4-1-2-1-2): Bentley; Dasilva, Kalas, Klose, Pring; James; Williams, Scott; Weimann; Martin, Semenyo
