Bristol City player ratings vs Lincoln City: Risible Robins second best in every department

Stefan Bajic - 5

Had little chance with the three goals. The first was a thunderbolt into the corner from distance. Was let down by his defenders but looked nervy when he had the ball at his feet. A difficult debut and one to forget. Made a good save to deny Lincoln scoring a fourth. Seemed to be a lack of communication with the defence.

Joe Low (off 45, Conway) - 4

Endured a difficult start on his full senior debut and was at fault for Lincoln's second when he was robbed of possession in his own half. Went into the book for a late challenge on the touchline. Came off at half-time and will need picking up after that.

Timm Klose (off 45, Williams) - 4

Looked worryingly off the pace in the middle of the back three, almost caught by the pace of House on numerous occasions. Gave the ball away in dangerous areas, including selling Low short with a simple pass across the middle. Another player sacrificed at half-time.

Rob Atkinson (off Wells, 77) - 5

Returned from his illness after three games and looked off the pace. Was restricted in making his trademark runs forward and sloppy in possession with aimless punts forward. More assured in the second half but Lincoln were happy to sit back.

Mark Sykes (off 45, Vyner) - 5

Made a good run towards the back post where his header was saved by Rushworth. His crossing wasn't up to scratch and Lincoln were able to exploit the space behind him and put the pressure on Low. Came off at half-time with Weimann dropping to wing-back.

Jay Dasilva - 5

Saw very little of him on the left touchline. Played high up the pitch looking to influence the attack but couldn't provide the quality into the area to trouble the Lincoln keeper.

Andy King - 4

Couldn't control the game playing in front of the defence and struggled to deal with the pace of the Lincoln runners in behind. Forward passes didn't come off, although in fairness, there was little movement ahead of him. Dropped into the centre of defence in the second half.

Dylan Kadji (off 54, Scott) - 5

Was overrun in midfield alongside King with the pair playing too far apart. Was eager to keep the ball moving and spread the play but wasn't blessed with options. Game passed him by for large periods.

Andi Weimann - 5

Couldn't influence the game playing behind the front two in the opening 45 minutes. Did have one decent moment when his cross to the back post offered Mark Sykes an opportunity. Moved to right wing-back in the second half and covered plenty of ground without offering a final ball.

Chris Martin - 5

Was probably the player most involved in the first half, which was more to do with City going direct with long ball after long ball. Won his headers without them causing any trouble. Was unlucky not to have an assist with a decent pullback to Conway. Faded in the second half and frustrated with a couple of loose passes.

Inches away from scoring City's second at the back post.

Antoine Semenyo - 4

Squandered a great opportunity to get City back into the game in the first half when his left-footed effort went wide of the target. Looks to be lacking confidence at the moment, summed up by hammering a chance well over the bar when played through on goal.

Substitutes

Zak Vyner (on 45, Sykes) - 6

Was involved in the pile of bodies for Lincoln's third goal but difficult to assess whether he could have reacted quicker to the loose ball.

Joe Williams (on 45, Klose) - 6

Had a couple of opportunities from distance without troubling Rushworth in goal. Attempted to venture forward but without much success.

Tommy Conway (on 45, Low) - 7

City's liveliest player in the second half and got the hosts back into it with 10 minutes left to play. Instantly could have assisted Martin but had a yard too much pace on his cross. Can come out of the game with credit.

Alex Scott (on 54, Kadji) - 6

Brought on to try and change the game but he struggled to carve Lincoln open as they played with 10 men behind the ball. Took a couple of hefty challenges.

Nahki Wells (on 77, Atkinson) - N/A

Subs not used: Max O'Leary, Cam Pring, Sam Bell, Elijah Morrison
