Bristol City player ratings vs Hull City: Front three unstoppable as Klose stakes his claim

Dan Bentley - 8

Was alive to keep Tom Eaves' strike out soon after City's opener. Made a good save from close range to keep out a header at the front post. Tested from distance once or twice in the second half but stood up to the task. A very welcome clean sheet.

Jay Dasilva - 7

A quiet afternoon by Dasilva's standards but was hardly given a tough test defensively. Offensively, he could leave that job to the three attackers on the field. Moved across to the right on 60 minutes. A consistent showing.

Rob Atkinson - 7

Was given little trouble in the first half, dealing with everything that was thrown at him. Looking more and more comfortable with the ball at his feet. Skimmed inside his box once but it came to no real danger.

Timm Klose - 8

Great defending to block Eaves' strike in the 25th minute of the contest. Made a number of terrific interceptions inside his box. Appeared to be enjoying himself as he made a marauding run deep into Hull's half.

Robbie Cundy - 7

Was hardly tested from a defensive point of view in the first half. Did get caught out in the second half on a couple of occasions but escaped unpunished.

Alex Scott (off 60, Benarous) - 7

Perhaps couldn't get forward as much as he would have liked - not that it mattered too much. Solid enough defensively although Allahyar gave him a few questions in the first half. Solid but unspectacular - taken off on the hour mark.

Joe Williams - 7

His usual, industrial self. Launched himself into a tackle early on to let his opponent know what he was about. Hustled and harried his opponents, leaving them very little time on the ball.

Matty James - 8

Helped control the play from midfield, very quick to close down his opponents when they got on the ball in the middle of the park. Smart in possession, looking to play forward passes.

Andi Weimann (off 83, Conway) - 9

Didn't wait long to score his 21st of the season, racing through on goal before sticking it past the keeper who was in no man's land. Goalscorer quickly turned provider when he fed Semenyo for City's second of the day. Topped off his remarkable season with a sensational chip to score City's fifth.

Antoine Semenyo (off 80, Wells) - 9

Picked up his 11th assist of the season, playing a pin-point pass through to Weimann. Unplayable in the first half, scoring the second of contest. Then assisted the third by playing in Martin. Didn't get himself on the ball as much in the second half as City dropped deeper. Replaced by Nahki Wells on 80 minutes.

Chris Martin - 9

Deservedly grabbed his goal to put City three ahead. finishing from close range after Semenyo's cross. Doubled his tally in the second half, pinching the ball off the defender and coolly beating the keeper.

Substitutes

Ayman Benarous (on 60, Scott) -

Looked confident at left wing-back looking to contribute to the attack and certainly wanted a slice of the action by hoping to get himself on the scoresheet.

Nahki Wells (on 80, Semenyo) - N/A

Tommy Conway (on 83, Weimann) - N/A

Subs not used: O'Leary, King, Idehen, Massengo
