Bristol City favourite shows his generous side to fans as he tops scorers chart across Europe

Tammy Abraham further proved he is a hit on and off the pitch after buying a group of Roma supporters dinner following his side's 2-0 loss to Inter Milan.

The former Bristol City favourite has endeared himself to the fanbase in Rome following his £34m move from Chelsea last summer with 11 league goals under Jose Mourinho.

Reports in Italy claim the 24-year-old was out in Rome enjoying dinner with his girlfriend when he bumped into a group of Roma supporters in the aftermath of their Coppa Italia defeat.

It is suggested Abraham showed his modesty by spending time talking with the fans, signed autographs and took pictures with the group. He then offered to pay for their bill to make the loss easier to swallow.

It may come as no surprise to City supporters that Abraham has continued to go from strength to strength in Europe after his terrific 2016/17 season at Ashton Gate.

Abraham scored 23 Championship goals during his loan spell and finished second in the top scorer's chart behind Chris Wood who recently made a £25m switch to Newcastle.

Following further loan spells with Swansea and Aston Villa and a run in the first team with Chelsea, it appears Abraham has finally found a place he can call home in Rome and he's currently flying the flag for English strikers.

Revealed by Squawka, Abraham is the top English goalscorer across Europe's top five leagues and has scored more goals in all competitions than the likes of Harry Kane and Jamie Vardy.

His most recent strike in his last outing against Sassuolo means he now has 18 in 32 matches across all competitions, a feat that can't be matched. Kane has 17 in 39 matches, while Jamie Vardy sits on 11 in 22 and Raheem Sterling has 15 after his hat-trick against Norwich.
