Bristol City fans reveal their standout performers over the first stage of the season

There won't be many people associated with Bristol City, supporters included, to be complaining too much about the four-week World Cup break.

It's an opportunity to turn the focus elsewhere from £9 Greek salads to the ban on alcohol in Qatar just two days before the beginning of the tournament. Either way, World Cup fever hasn't really taken off but it's a welcome distraction from a relentless Championship schedule that has toyed with your emotions over the last four months.

From flying high in third spot in the Championship and going eight games unbeaten to winning just two games in 14 matches including a cup upset at home to Lincoln, there's been an awful lot to digest during that period.

There's been plenty of positives - Tommy Conway's breakthrough season has been superb while Zak Vyner and Nahki Wells have been making up for lost time. On the flip side, keeper Dan Bentley lost his place in the side and Han-Noah Massengo has dropped to the Under-21s due to his ongoing contract uncertainty.

Nigel Pearson's counter-attacking football and City's in-form attackers were proving a real test for anyone in the league up until the end of September when opponents worked out they became a lot less effective when sitting back. We've also seen our fair share of individual mistakes while surpassing the annual wait for a penalty - some things never change.

With City sitting one point above the drop zone with 25 games to play, Pearson came under pressure heading into the break but the positive performance at home to Watford reinforced some positivity that the Robins can turn around their fortunes when they return to make the trip to Rotherham on December 10.

You have had your say on who you think has been City's best performers so far and those that have struggled to make an impact with our player rater. The results are as follows...
