Bristol Beer Festival 2023: All you need to know ahead of harbourside event

Fans are gearing up to sample a range of breweries at Bristol Beer Festival 2023, one of the biggest beer events on the calendar. Dozens of independent breweries from Bristol and further afield will be heading to Bristol Harbourside this weekend (June 9-10).

The annual event takes over Lloyds Amphitheatre each year offering ticket holders an all-inclusive experience (yes, this means all your beer is included in the ticket price). Drinkers are invited to chat with the breweries and learn about the pint they're sampling - with more than 300 different beers on offer.

Here's a guide to everything you need to know ahead of the Bristol Craft Beer Festival 2023.

There will be more than 300 beers to choose from this weekend. The festival celebrates some of the leading craft beer breweries in the country.

As usual, Bristol-based breweries will be strongly represented including Wiper & True, Lost and Grounded, Bristol Beer Factory, The Bristol Brewery, Left Handed Giant and Good Chemistry Brewing.

New Bristol Brewery has created this year's festival beer, which is a sour beer, flavoured with passionfruit and peach ice-cream waffle cone.

From further afield, Hackney Church, Tiny Rebel, Mikkeller, Duvel, Salcombe, Chuff and Siren Craft Brew will also have stalls at Bristol Craft Beer Festival. You can see the full line-up of almost 60 breweries on the festival's website.

There is also plenty to drink outside of the realm of beer such as The Newt and Sheppy's ciders, mead from Gosnell's of London, a zero-alcohol aperitif by Botivo and Sexton whisky.

This year’s Bristol Craft Beer Festival also sees a number of delicious stalls when you need a break from the beer. ACME Fire Cult is a live-fire concept cooking up BBQ meat and vegetarian dishes and retail giants Jolly Hog will be serving up their award-winning sausages and burgers.

Gopal’s Curry Shack will have vibrant vegetarian and vegan Indian street food with a modern twist. The Cheese Collective will be selling cheesy toasties and irresistible raclettes, an excellent pairing with your pint.
