Bristol Bears have confirmed the appointment of Adam Roberts as the Gallagher Premiership club’s new head of medical services.
The highly experienced Roberts, who spent nine years at Harlequins and three at Edinburgh Rugby, joins from Scottish Premier League football club, Rangers.
He replaces the outgoing Rory Murray, who has joined Bath Rugby following more than 10 years with the Bears.
Bristol director of rugby Pat Lam said: “It’s fantastic to welcome somebody of Adam’s calibre and experience into the Bears following a detailed recruitment process.

“We received a significant number of applications for the position, but Adam’s experience and quality really shone through.
“We’re grateful to Rory Murray for his significant contribution over the past ten seasons and look forward to having Adam onboard.”
Roberts added: “I’m delighted to be joining the Bristol Bears organisation as head of medical services.
"The opportunity to be part of the Bears is hugely exciting and I’m looking forward to getting started.
“I’m eager to get to work at the world-class High-Performance Centre alongside the quality players and staff here. The ambition of the club is there for all to see and I’m keen to contribute to that.”
