Bristol Bears have been drawn in Pool A of the 2022/23 Premiership Rugby Cup which this season will largely be played as a midweek competition, further confirming its place in the calendar as more of a development competition.
Pat Lam's side actually start the competition with a bye week before getting underway at home against Exeter Chiefs in midweek on September 27/28.
Next up the Bears travel down the road to Bath Rugby for the second derby installment of the season, again in midweek.
Just a couple of days after facing a South Africa XV in Bristol's highly anticipated exhibition game against the reigning World Champions, the Bears will travel to Kingsholm to take on the Cherry and Whites in Round Three of the Premiership Rugby Cup on the weekend of November 18/19/20.
Bristol's pool stage games will conclude after the turn of the year with a midweek game against Warriors.
Worcester of course won the competition last season, narrowly coming out on top against London Irish in the final despite the score ending 25-25 after added extra time.
