Bristol Airport: You can travel halfway across the world for just £156

The travel industry has been going through a boom in the last year as many people are starting to venture abroad again after the pandemic.

While plane tickets typically cost hundreds of pounds, for the savvy traveller there are plenty of bargains to be found.

Bristol Live used Skyscanner to uncover how you could travel across the world for less than £200, and the results might shock you.

The cheapest flight was from Bristol to Baku - but it did involve three stopovers. First, you would have to fly from Bristol Airport to Venice.

Once in the northern Italian city, you would have to wait overnight for a flight to your next stop. The following morning you would then board a plane to the Hungarian capital Budapest.

Two days after you left Bristol you take your final flight and arrive at Baku, the capital city of Azerbaijan. Now how much did this all cost you might ask? Well you would think that travelling over 3,000 miles across Europe would cost a pretty penny but in fact, it only cost £156.

You will probably say what about return flights, well these weren’t included in our calculations but you would be able to use the sky scanner app to find the best routes to take to keep the price down.
