A study by Bounce analysed European cities on factors such as safety ratings, the number of nightclubs and bars, as well as average beer prices to reveal the best destinations for a party holiday. Researchers crowned Portugal's capital city as ranking above all other destinations - including Ibiza.
The vibrant city was discovered to sell beers at an average price of a tiny £2.15, and it scored very well for safety (70.43) meaning away from the bars and clubs, you can relax.
On average, revellers paid around £170 for a hotel – but we’ve found some stunning private rooms, with a balcony, on Airbnb for around £38.
Britons searching for parties and nightlife hit 108,000 when based on Lisbon annually. And there are loads to do when you get there. From the city's famous Sabotage Club, playing rock and indie, to Lisbon's Lux electronic club, revellers have a range of eclectic options for nightlife.
In the day, beautiful beaches are only a short train trip from the city centre. Alternatively, you can wander around the city taking in the small lanes or hop on a tram and devour some delicious local specialities like pastéis de nata.
