The A38 near Bristol Airport is to close - while the road is resurfaced. The busy route at Redhill will close on seven occasions in July for the work to be carried out.
The work will be carried out in stages and starts on July 2 when the road will close between 6am and 2pm. The second phase will require a daytime closure on July 9 to seal the carriageway between 6am and 4pm, reports Somerset Live.
This will be followed by the road closing for five nights from 8pm and 6am from July 10 for new road markings to be installed. The road is a busy commuter route between North Somerset and Bristol and is also the main route to Bristol Airport.

Diversions will be put in place. The work is costing £350,000 and it is hoped will extend the life of the carriageway by 10 years and enhance its skid resistance.
North Somerset Council executive member with responsibility for highways, Councillor Steve Hogg, said the scheme would cause some disruption.
He said: "Surface dressing is carried out at this time of year because bitumen and loose chippings bond to the road surface more effectively in warmer weather. We would urge drivers to be patient while we carry out this important maintenance."
Surface dressing is largely weather dependent and the dates listed may change.
