We're into February, which means the half-term break is fast approaching.
But we're also in the grip of a cost of living crisis, with many families up and down the country worried about money.

They might take you to some unusual places, but if you just want to get away from it all and aren't fussy about where you go, there are some good deals to be found.
For the purposes of this exercise we've searched Skyscanner for seven-night, direct return flights between Saturday, February 19 and Sunday, February 27, for two adults and two children in economy class. The prices listed below are correct at the time of writing and do not include accommodation or any extras.
Cheapest flights from Bristol Airport during half-term
- Riga, Latvia - £9
- Dublin, Ireland - £44
- Amsterdam, Netherlands - £66
- Milan, Italy - £90
- Warsaw, Poland - £109
- Bucharest, Romania - £113
- Alicante, Spain - £122
- Madrid, Spain - £122
- Paphos, Cyprus - £124
Nowy dwór mazowiecki, Poland - £128
Glasgow, Scotland - £129
Krakow, Poland - £141
Venice, Italy - £142
Malaga, Spain - £143
In our eyes, Milan and Amsterdam are the pick of the bunch, given their very low flight prices and stunning architecture once you get there. Seven nights in Alicante or Paphos for just over £120 is not to be sniffed at either, however, if you're looking for some summer sun.
And for £9 for four people, you can't go wrong with Riga, can you?
