A visitor to Bristol Airport was 'shocked' to find that a pint now costs £6.99. Craig Shete-Smith visited the Brunel Bar and Kitchen at the Airport and ordered a cold beverage - only to find the cost of a pint of beer was just shy of £7.
Craig said he felt "completely ripped off" to be charged not too far off £10 for a pint of beer. He accused the airport bar of 'pure unadulterated profiteering' in a tweet tagging Bristol Airport on Saturday (August 6).
Bristol Bar and Kitchen offers bites to eat, pints and beverages ahead of travellers' flights at Bristol Airport. Craig spoke to Bristol Live about how 'shocked' he was on receiving his pint.

He said, "I was shocked - there is no need to for it [the price of the beer] to be that high. I just feel that, because the bar has a captive market, they think they can charge what they like.
"They’ll say it’s overheads. I’ve flown from Bristol many times and the bar is always busy, so they make money hand over fist."
The SSP Group own many travel outlets, and own Brunel Bar and Kitchen. The firm has been contacted for comment.
