Bristol Airport has issued a travel warning to people planning to fly abroad in the next week as roadworks get underway in the local area. Demand for flights is often increased as February half-term approaches and it is expected that extra time will be needed when travelling to the airport this week.
Temporary traffic lights are being placed on the A38 junction with Downside Road from Monday, February 14. It is so BT Openreach can carry out some emergency works in the area. The works are expected to last until Friday, February 18 and multi-way traffic signals are being put in place for the duration of the temporary works.

The Bristol Airport Twitter account tweeted earlier today saying: "Temporary traffic lights are being put in place on A38 junction with Downside road from Monday 14th February.
"Emergency works are being completed on behalf of BT Openreach. Works scheduled to begin at 0930. Please allow extra time when travelling to the airport."
