One Bristol area is among the hottest in the UK today (August 10). Bristol / Lulsgate, which is the area surrounding Bristol Airport, is currently 9th hottest in the UK as of 7.30am this morning, with temperatures having hit 18C at 2am according to Netweather.tv.
Throughout the day, this Bristol area is expected to stay within the top 20 hottest locations across the country, as temperatures heat up again. This comes as the Met Office announce another 'extreme heat' weather warning for the UK.
In Bristol later this week, temperatures could hit 36 degrees as a result. In July, we saw the impact of near 40 degree dizzying temperatures, with fountains running dry and Wapping Wharf cargo container restaurants having to close in the extreme heat for the wellbeing of staff.

Yesterday (9 August) the Met Office released a four-day amber weather warning of 'extreme heat'. BBC Weather has predicted temperatures could hit 36C in Bristol later this week.
Saturday (13 August) could see temperatures of 36 degrees, according to BBC Weather. A drop in temperatures is then expected for Sunday (14 August) onwards, with 33C at the end of the weekend and a cool 24C with some light rain from Monday (15 August).
On July 18, during the last heatwave the UK experienced, the Avon area saw its hottest day on record. Temperatures hit 35.3C.
