Former Leeds United first team coach Carlos Corberan has stunned Huddersfield Town by resigning just weeks before the new Championship campaign. Corberan, who was part of Marcelo Bielsa's backroom staff during the latter's time at Elland Road, worked wonders with the Terriers last term, guiding them to an unlikely and impressive third-placed finish in the Championship.
The now 39-year-old was a major part of Bielsa's staff who helped guide Leeds back to the Premier League back in 2020. He left that summer to take up the Huddersfield job, where he has spent the last two seasons.
Under the former Whites coach, Huddersfield reached the play-off final, but fell agonisingly short against Nottingham Forest to miss out on promotion to the Premier League.
