'Brilliant' and 'bubbly' mum of three, 34, dies

Tributes have poured in for a mum who died after a year long battle with bowel cancer.

Jennifer Roche, from Maghull, died on January 24, and her husband David described her as the kind of person who dedicated their life to "putting a smile on people's faces".

Paying tribute to the mum-of-three, David said: "Jen was a fantastic person and we had three beautiful children. She was just really bubbly, Jen could walk into a room and light it up that is the best way to describe her.

"She was really fun and a brilliant mum, the girls just loved her. She was an air hostess and loved being out and about, putting a smile on people's faces."

The 34-year-old made a pact with her friends and family to climb Snowdon this year, telling them she had a vision of herself on top of a mountain after all her treatment was over, wearing purple. Those close to her have decided to keep that promise as it is the "closest to heaven" they can get.

Since publishing Jennifer's story, tributes have poured in on the ECHO's social media pages. Writing on the ECHO's Facebook page, friend Rachel Smith said Jennifer was the best friend "there ever was."

She said: "The best friend, wife, mum, daughter, sister there ever was! See you at the top of the mountain my girl. Please donate anything you can for our local hospice, you never want to need one but they made the end so much easier and continue to support her beautiful children."

Linzi Smith also added: "You will all do Jenny proud Rachel Smith she couldn't have had better friends … forever young."

Catherine Poynor also said: "Good luck to everyone! She'll be smiling down on you all! Rest in peace Jenny."

Lynsey Cameron said: "Good luck to all taking in part in memory of Jen. She was beautiful inside and out. Forever young."

Jennifer met David on a night out in Ormskirk, and the couple married in 2013. David said that "everyone will miss" Jennifer who dedicated her life to making people smile.

David who is 36 said: "Jen had this vision of herself after the treatment had finished so we decided to do it for her. It is the closest to heaven we can get. Jen spent ten days in Woodlands before she died and the place needs £4,000 a day to stay open."
