Brighton fans have shown off a creative new chant after Chelsea embarrassingly misidentified Danny Welbeck as Cody Gakpo while the Seagulls were making a substitution.
Gakpo obviously plays for Liverpool, having joined the Reds in the January transfer window. But the scoreboard at Stamford Bridge put up the Dutchman's name as the replacement for Evan Ferguson late in the first-half, rather than Welbeck.
With six minutes remaining before the break, former Manchester United star Welbeck entered the fray. But in giant letters, the scoreboard showed 'Substitution, Player on', with Gakpo's name bizarrely written underneath, despite the Dutchman having no connection to Brighton.
Seagulls supporters responded in hilarious fashion, breaking out into chants of "Cody Gakpo, he's one of our own". They then proceeded to sing "If Gakpo scores, we're on the pitch" as Roberto De Zerbi's men pushed for an equaliser.
Funnily enough, 'Gakpo' did proceed to net, just three minutes after coming on. Welbeck headed past Kepa Arrizabalaga from Pascal Gross' cross to get the visitors back into the game.
The former Arsenal star also netted the late equaliser in Brighton's draw at Chelsea last season. Seagulls fans continued to mock the Blues on social media after Welbeck's goal, claiming Gakpo had suddenly changed clubs.

One wrote: "He’s one of our own. Cody Gakpo." Another added: "Great goal from Cody Gakpo at the end there." While a third said: "Breaking news : My sources confirm Cody Gakpo has joined #BHAFC from #LFC an unexpected move but one that is complete."
Welbeck's strike on Saturday was his fifth of the campaign, taking his combined tally with Gakpo to nine in the Premier League. It was a crucial goal, with Chelsea having gone a goal ahead through Conor Gallagher.
But Welbeck then equalised, with fellow substitute Julio Enciso scoring a winner for Brighton with 20 minutes to go. Boss De Zerbi was delighted with the win, which was Brighton's first at Stamford Bridge.
"I am really pleased for the performance. We deserved to win for the quality of the performance. I'm lucky to be a coach of these players. I am honest when I tell you these words," he told BBC Sport.
"Julio [Enciso] is another because we have a lot of important younger players. I'm happy for him. It is an important goal for us and for him. I think we could play better after the goal and we suffer too much. After the second goal we played too deep, but we work to improve.
"I'm happy for the result, I'm happy because we made our fans happy, our club happy. But for me, I am starting to think about the semi-final now. If you are happy too much for the result in the past, you can't do this in football."
