Brighton manager Graham Potter has said that he is happy with his attacking options at the club, hinting that Neal Maupay could be on the move this summer.
Reports claim that Nottingham Forest are ‘closing in’ on a £15 million move for the 26-year-old this summer. The forward was left out of the Seagulls’ squad entirely for the weekend’s clash against Newcastle United.
He was also an unused substitute for the season’s opening game against Manchester United - a match in which Brighton came out as 2-1 winners. Speaking after the game against Newcastle on Saturday, Potter said that there was ‘no update’ on a potential move to Forest for Maupay, but did highlight the strength he has in the area and the possibility of returning to the market for more options.

“I am always content. I think you have got to look at the squad and look at how you can improve,” he said, via SussexLive .
“We have got a different mix of players but there probably isn't another Danny Welbeck in terms of profile so that is something we may look at if we are going to look anywhere. But we have got some good attacking options.
“Deniz [Undav] didn't come on today [against Newcastle], we still have got Evan Ferguson, still got Julio [Enciso] who we believe in, we've still got young players. Leandro Trossard has played up front as a nine so then Kaoru [Mitoma] can play wide so there's lots of different profiles from an attacking perspective. But as I say, while the window is open we have to keep looking and see what is out there."
Maupay has been with Brighton since joining from Brentford in the summer of 2019. In his three years at the club, the forward has scored a total of 27 goals in 109 appearances, with 26 of those goals coming in the Premier League.
