Brie Larson's Captain Marvel stunt double shares amazing behind-the-scenes fight concept video

Brie Larson’s Captain Marvel stunt double has revealed a stunning new stunt concept video for an action scene in the film.

Stunt performer Joanna Bennett shared the short clip with her 13,200 followers on Instagram. In it, Bennett performs an impressive and intricately choreographed fight scene against multiple enemies.

The video is shot in a studio with wires, harnesses and safety mats all clearly visible, in order to offer fans a behind-the-scenes look at how Captain Marvel’s action scenes were filmed.

Sound and minimal visual effects, including pared-back versions of Larson’s superpowers in the movie, have been added, giving the clip an additional blockbuster element.

Bennett accompanied the clip with a caption praising and thanking her fellow stunt performers and crew. “They are so talented, and made my job easy,” she wrote.

The experienced stunt double and gymnast has previously stood in for Amber Heard and Nicole Kidman in Aquaman, Karen Gillan in Jumanji, and Gal Gadot in Wonder Woman.

Fans commented on the video praising Bennett for her strength and agility. One user wrote, “Absolutely one of the most incredible fight sequences... I’ve watched this way too many times now” while another questioned, “Why isn’t this in the movie?”

Work on the highly anticipated Captain Marvel sequel is underway. Candyman director Nia DaCosta was announced as the film’s director earlier this month, making her the first black woman to direct a Marvel Studios picture.

Captain Marvel 2 is scheduled for release on 8 July, 2022.
