Former Bridgerton heartthrob Rege-Jean Page who played the dashing Duke of Hastings, Simon Basset, will no longer be starring in the series and he is rumoured to be the next James Bond. This means the series instead turns its focus to the eldest Bridgerton brother Anthony who is played by Jonathan Bailey.

The new series will drop on Netflix on Friday, March, 25 and early reviews and critics have said it is very different from the first series. Many including The Independent have said that the series feels like a spin-off now that Daphne and Simon are no longer the main couple.
