Bridgerton series two first look as Netflix release date edges closer

Netflix has shared a first look at series two of Bridgerton, which has been filmed across the West Country.

New images show Phoebe Dynevor returning as the newly-married Daphne Basset, while Simone Ashley is seen for the first time in her role as Kate Sharma, Lord Anthony Bridgerton's love interest.

The second instalment of the highly acclaimed series is based on Julia Quinn's second Bridgerton novel, The Viscount Who Loved Me, which follows Lord Anthony's quest to find a wife.

Pictures posted on Instagram show the characters in full costume, in what appears to be the same settings seen in series one.

Locations including Bath's Royal Crescent were pivotal to the first season's filming, while Bristol's Leigh Court was the backdrop of some ballroom scenes.

It's understood filming for the series two has taken place across Bath and parts of Somerset.

The Featheringtons are seen sporting gold gowns and Eloise and Lady Whistledown are pictured deep in conversation.
