Derry Girls star Nicola Coughlan has told fans what to expect in the new season of Bridgerton.
Season three of the hit Netflix show will follow the friendship of Penelope Featherington (Nicola) and Colin Bridgerton (played by Luke Newton) which may bloom into something more.
Posting on Instagram on Monday morning, Nicola said: "Like Lady Whistledown I’ve been keeping quite a big secret for quite a long time… but I can finally tell you that @bridgertonnetflix Season Three is Colin and Penelope’s Story"

Speaking at Netflix’s FYSEE Space’s opening night ATAS panel, she added: “I have kept that secret since two weeks into Season 2. This is the first time I am saying it here.”
Posting on her Instagram story, Nicola also said: "I've been keeping the Season Three secret for so long I can't believe it's finally out in the world! Bridgerton fans I hope we do you proud captaining this ship!
"We've very nervous and excited and can't wait for you to see #Polin's story."
During the Season 2 finale, Penelope overheard Colin say that he would never marry her.
